My daughter sat watching me put on my makeup. Then she reminded me to put on lipstick. I offered to put some on her and then the real conversation began.
We talked about how makeup just highlights what is already beautiful. How if your heart is ugly no amount of glitter will cover the brokeness. Parenthood is a road paved with a million conversations that seem to shape my heart as much as theirs. I am so thankful for this gift.
I wrote these words down and they poured out of my heart I heard the Father say, ”I treasure the million conversations I get to have with you.” He treasures the gift of parenting more than we ever could. I am so thankful He patiently guides me all while making me feel seen, known and heard. He is a good, good Father.
